Deb Moss is a dynamic and powerful mentor, speaker, leader, and entrepreneur focused on educating, equipping, and empowering young women across the nation. She has worked with youth in various capacities throughout the years through her associations and volunteer work in her church and community. She understands the importance of having someone in your corner on their journey through life. She has committed her life to helping young women pursue their passion as well as position themselves for success. Her enthusiasm for seeing young women succeed and fulfill their purpose and destiny is what drove her to create The “Your Life by Design Project”, which is under her non-profit The Raney Moss Group Foundation, Inc.
The “Your Life by Design Project” is a program whose mission is to inspire, empower and motivate young women as they transition from high school to college and from college to career. Our goal is to assist these talented young ladies to navigate through these three levels of life by presenting workshops such as: exposing them to various career paths (traditional and non-traditional), financing higher education, the importance of affiliation (such as friends and social groups), dressing for success, building the right foundation for their future, and the pitfalls of social networking.
The Raney Moss Group’s Goal is to assist these talented young ladies to navigate through three levels of life by presenting workshops such as: exposing them to various career paths (traditional and non-traditional), financing higher education, the importance of affiliation (such as friends and social groups), dressing for success, building the right foundation for their future, and the pitfalls of social networking.
Deb also has another project that is near and dear to heart. The project is called “The Deb Moss Project”. The Deb Moss Project provides monthly care packages to students at HBCUs whose parents are unable to provide assistance to them while they are pursuing their education. Deb recalls being in college and seeing others get care packages until she schooled her parents on what they needed to do to encourage her while she was studying far away from home.
Deb takes her responsibility as a role model and leader very serious. She uses her talents, abilities, and gifts to help those around her to create and leave a legacy that is uniquely their own. She strives to assist in sharing her wisdom to the young women that she meets leaving them a little better than when she first met them. Her gift to connect others and bringing people together under one gather to share experiences, knowledge and love and her strength.
Deb is originally from Missouri but she has been living in Washington, DC for over 20 years. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Johnson C. Smith University and Master of Arts degree from Clark Atlanta University. Deb is dedicated to her mission of helping every young woman become phenomenal and extraordinary in all areas of their lives.
